Indirect TAX Professional

Your key responsibilities:
As an Indirect Tax professional, you will make technical contributions to indirect tax compliance and advisory engagements for our clients across sectors. You are likely to spend your time on a diverse array of projects, responsibilities and tasks. Whatever you are working on, our clients will turn to you for up-to-the-minute assistance they can always rely on. To make that happen, you will be working in a highly collaborative culture, where listening to and sharing information with colleagues is an essential part of the role.
Skills and attributes for success:
- Working in multi-disciplinary teams under the guidance and direction of Managers and Partners and informing them on the status of your assigned work.
- Assisting a diverse client base with technical advice on how to manage their indirect tax risk and compliance obligations.
- Helping leading organisations to identify risk areas and sustainable planning opportunities for indirect taxes throughout the tax life cycle.
- Addressing a wide range of issues and problems and helping clients to meet their business goals.
- Contributing commercial expertise and gaining substantial exposure to indirect tax audits across industries.
- Fostering an innovative and team-oriented work environment by maintaining cooperative relationships that lead to open communication.
To qualify for the role you must have:
- 2 - 4 years of relevant working experience (experience within a Big4 or Top Tier business consultancy environment will be considered an asset)
- Excellent academic background including a bachelor and/or master degree in Law, Finance or Economics
- University Degree in Law from a Greek University or a bachelor in Finance/Economics
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Excellent time management; being able to work with a number of different clients and internal stakeholders
- Ability to remain focused and productive in a fast paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication in Greek and English
- Results-oriented approach with keen attention to high quality and accuracy
- Flexibility to travel in accordance with client and other job requirements both locally and internationally
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Postgraduate studies in Tax Law
- Strong technical tax skills in the field of indirect tax including stamp duty, customs and alternative dispute resolutions (ADR) issues
