"The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany is currently seeking a full time employee (limited for twelve months) for the Visa section of the Embassy
Main duties will be:
- Receiving visa applications at the counter and entering data on the computer
- Checking application documents
- Back office duties like sorting, forwarding and filing applications
- Correspondence in German and English
- Responding to e-mail and telephone enquiries
- Collection and administration of fees
- Internet research
Profile:
- high school education or completed vocational training
- job or academic training advantageous
- very good knowledge of German and English required, Greek would be an asset
- knowledge of Arabic would be an asset
- good computer skills and preparedness for further training
- professional experience in an office or the administrative sector as well as experience in dealing with the public
- Eloquence, patience and courtesy
- Good team player
- EU-citizenship or valid residence and work permit for Greece
Working in the Visa section requires accuracy, the ability to deal with complex procedures and to work under pressure.
On-the-job training is provided. The contract is based on Greek employment law. The working week comprises 40 hours.
